George Harrison - When We Was Fab
This song was written by George and Jeff Lynne about the Beatlemania days, back when the Beatles were referred to as the “Fab Four.”
The lyrics made three references to songs associated with the 60s: Bob Dylan’s “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue;” Smokey Robinson’s “You Really Got a Hold of Me,” (which was covered by the Beatles in their 1963 album, With the Beatles), and The Beatles’ “Taxman.”
The music video makes references to John, Paul, and Ringo. For John, a man carrying Imagine. For Paul, a man dressed up as a walrus playing bass. For Ringo, appearing as first, George’s assistant, and then later being the drummer.
